Explore basic embroidery techniques with artist Jia Sung, look at some examples from history as well as artist Jia’s own work, and learn about its storytelling history and its decorative uses. In parallel to the theme of solidarity in the "In Our Corner" exhibition, Think!Chinatown is proud to bring a host of ally organizations to the Studio. The organizations will include Black Gotham, Blasian March, en foco, and Vietnamese Boat People. Each group will share what they are working on and what asks they might have. The exhibition’s artists and visiting groups have been collaborating on a playlist, building something small together to be shared during the reception with food and chat.
