Dress up to the nines and enjoy an extraordinary night at the Chinese opera! With a full traditional Chinese orchestra, the Eastern Fuzhou Opera Group will perform “Dream of the Red Chamber” and the Fujianese classic tale of “Gan Guobao” at the upper plaza of Forsyth Plaza. Specially commissioned artwork by artist Sarula Bao will grace the stage as the opera backdrop.

Poet & drag performer the Illustrious Pearl will emcee the night as our friends, neighbors, and artists from Chinatown walk the “red carpet” best. Community members of all ages will be showing off their favorite clothing pieces and accessories... and plain being fabulous. At the end of the night, we invite anyone who wants to walk to have their own moment on Chinatown’s very own “red carpet!”
