[Jan 22, 11AM-1PM] Leap into the prosperous Year of the Rabbit with us! The first day of the LNY is on Sunday this year, and Chinatown will be at maximum 热闹 “hot & loud.” There will be lion dancing, confetti, and lots of friends and neighbors about. The T!C crew will join in on the festivities on Mott St. with a reveal of our annual Lantern Artist-in-Residency project. Come find us parading up and down the street with the new lantern!

Since 2019, T!C has invited an artist to interpret the iconic red lantern. Red lanterns are particularly special during Lunar New Year as lanterns are lit and raised on the Fifteenth Day of Lunar New Year to mark the end of celebrations.

Stay tuned for announcements on this year’s Artist in Residence.

Stay tuned for our artist reveal!
