Join us for morning Qigong exercises with Sokie Lee, a certified instructor and NYS licensed massage therapist with over 20 years of bodywork experience. Qigong exercises are gentle and easy-to-learn. Rooted in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, Qigong is the practice to cultivate and balance "qi", aka "life energy".Through alignment and mindful movements, we can strengthen the body’s inner core. We will cover Eight Pieces of Brocade and Five Element stretches. Let's have fun and get fit!
Sokie Lee is a Movement Motivator, promoting health through mindful movement.
Pre-COVID, Sokie held in-person classes at the 92Y, Lindblad/National Geographic, Hospital for Special Surgery, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and Swedish Institute. She has now transitioned to teaching engaging and fun online classes. An avid learner, Sokie continually focuses on the study of Qigong and martial arts. She also enjoys kayaking, kickboxing, scuba diving, cooking, and traveling. Sokie was born in Hong Kong and has lived in New York since age nine. Raised with a Chinese holistic lifestyle, Sokie continues that way of living today.
